Taking up minimal floor space and with a vast range of blades available, the bandsaw is an indispensable asset. The ability to rip, cross-cut, resaw, cut wafer thin veneers, tenon cheeks, bevels, curves and even circles makes the bandsaw the most versatile machine in the workshop.
Quick release blade tension
A properly tensioned blade is essential for making
accurate cuts and is a prerequisite for making
many bandsaw adjustments. The blade tension is
adjusted by rotating the blade tension lever.
Cast iron wheels
If the wheels are heavier, you will have more inertia, which would help in handling peak loads. It follows that any operation where the blade is bogged down for a short while, the heavier wheels will get you through more likely.
Motor 1.5HP
Start with inverter motor speed control. 220 volts, single-phase goes in and 220 volts, 3-phase comes out giving you infinite control over the blade speed with just the turn of a dial.
